Southern Metro Athletics

On Monday 21 October, 5 year 5 and 6 students competed in the Southern Metro athletics carnival at Casey Fields athletics track. The competitors were presented with perfect conditions with a large crowd in attendance. Our students competed brilliantly against a very high standard of competition and should be proud of themselves. Well done to you all on your fantastic achievements!! They should look back fondly on the day.Thank you to all the parents who came along to support their students.

On Monday 28 October, 9 year 5 and 6 girls represented St Catherine’s at the Hoop Time Regional Finals at Frankston Basketball Stadium.The girls tried really hard and improved every game. After a tough first match the girls bounced back brilliantly to record a win. The team showed what they were capable of during this match. The girls ended up finishing 3rd out of 4 teams in their draw. Congratulations girls on a great year of basketball and for qualifying for the Regional finals! Thanks to the parents that came and watched and a big thankyou to Alyssa Brunet’s older brother Andrew who assisted with the scoring in each match.
